The Lexington Barbecue Festival is an annual one-day festival held in Lexington, North Carolina, celebrating its unique style of barbecue, Lexington-style, which is a distinctive pork shoulder slow-cooked and dressed in a tangy red vinegar-based sauce. The festival draws hundreds of thousands of people each October to experience the food, along with live music, arts and crafts vendors, and other entertainment.
