Fish House Tradition

Traditional seafood dining in Lexington reflects the Calabash style made popular in the small fishing community of the same name on the North Carolina coast. Common menu offerings include flounder, catfish, shrimp, scallops, oysters and deviled crab. Platters are fried or broiled. Hushpuppies, French fries, slaw and sweet tea round out the meal. Don’t forget the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. These fish houses work well for groups and provide specific menus for kids and senior citizens.
